string volume

I have 2 Hagstrom v 11's and a hagstrom 11. The v 11's are I believe a 66 and a 67. The hag 11, I don't know. I have the same problem with all three, the volume on the little e string is less than the other strings. I play finger style and this is a bother. I have tried half a dozen different amps. It is not the amps. My other guitars do not do this. What is my problem? I have changed the pickups up and down, and at present have the treble end as high as I can get it.

Thanking anyone in advance who might help me out.

Re: string volume

I'd try an e string at the next gauge up
I have 11-49 w/3rd wound on my '65 HII and it sounds fine

Re: string volume

Christo, thanks for the tip. I use the same gauge of strings as you so maybe I will go up to a 12 on the e. xx67
