Ultra Swede Replacement Nut?? How do i get one?

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a Hagstrom ultra swede and love it. excellent quality. However, I am starting to feel like the guy that did my setup filed the nut slots too low. I have the relief set where i like it but while the action from the 9th fret all the way up to the 22nd fret feels great, the action on frets 1-5 is almost touching the frets. I would like my action to be more even all the way down the neck like on my gibsons. I do not want it to look like a ramp when i am standing up playing and looking down at my action. Is my solution ordering a new nut from hagstrom? and let somebody else properly file the slots? Some people say that action has to get higher as you go up the neck. I do not believe this. I seriously doubt good guitar players have super low action on the first frets and high towards the end. Will a new nut solve my problem? i only need maybe one eigth of an inch (if that, maybe a 16th would be fine) higher on the first frets. I think my setup guy messed up and filed slots too low. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

signed - love my hagstrom, but will love it much more with this problem remedied
