Few Bass Repair Questions

I recently acquired a bass that needs a lot of love. It has been identified as a 1966 IB, thanks to Arthur on this forum.
A previous owner stripped the entire bass and attempted to make it fretless and its missing a few parts that hopefully I can find. The plan is to restore it to it original condition.

My questions are:
-Does anyone know if Hagstrom made a fretless bass in 1966? I assume they didn't.
-Does anyone know what size fretwire Hagstrom used? Or any suggestions?
-I assume the color was applied to the back side of the clear plastic front and no color on the front of the plastic front. Is that correct?
-Anyone have a good source for parts?

This looks like its going to be a fun project. I just need to decide on the color and get started. I really like the blue, but it seems like it may be hard to find the correct color vinyl for the back.

Thanks all!
