Hag HIII, lefty

Mine is a restored HIII. I recommended the restorer to use 0011 strings. I do not like them on this guitar and I want your choice of strings for on an old Hagstrom. Now I believe 008 or 009 should be better for this guitar. What strings would you choose?

Regards,
Roger

Re: Hag HIII, lefty

I have a 66 lefty HIII and use the workhorse of elec guitar strings -- D'Addario Nickel Wound XL 10-46s (EXL110-10P). They feel just right with the Hagstrom's thin neck and sound great. Long-lasting and cheap too!
