Re: New Viking Owner

Yes, they are a good value for the money. I have four of the new Hagstroms; HJ600, D2f, HL550 and a parlor acoustic and haven't had any tuning problems with them. None of them have the tremar though. One thing I don't like about the tuners is the smaller sized buttons. They seem harder to turn precisely as opposed to the vintage tuner buttons.

Re: New Viking Owner

Ive just bought a black lefty today. WOW! fell in love with the pictures but to see it in the flesh is amazing. So glad i sold my Epiphone Dot, which felt cheap and nasty compared to my Viking. Wow.

Re: New Viking Owner

Let me know if you ever swap out pups. I'm considering it...perhaps a set of Semor Duncan JB's (these did wonders for my LP Stnd Trad)...or perhaps 490/498 which sound great on my SG and my son's ES-137.
