Hagstrom Jimmy is it advisable to refinish

I think I have found a clue on this site answering my query as to the year of manufacture of my Jimmy f hole ser no 743166
You show one with a serial no743445? and call it a 1968 model and others identify that same guitar as 1969. Judgeing by the numeric sequence mine is also a 1968 or 1969 model probably one of the original 480 guitars in the Bjarton run.

My guitars finish is a little the worse for wear. Has anyone got any advise as to wether I should have it refinished or not and where this work could be properly done

Thanks
