Vintage K. Zildjian Istanbul Ride "Double Stamped" (1950-1960)
For sale is a 1950s era 20" Zildjian K ride cymbal. This cymbal is in excellent condition with no keyholing, cracks, dings or scrapes.
Top side of cymbal has a double stamped impression, which was done by hand. You can see the imperfections in the second stamping as the impression is just a smidge off. The stamp shows the crescent moon with the star at the top. "MADE IN TURKEY" bends around the crescent moon, Underneath the moon is some Turkish writing, and then reads:
K Zildjian and Co.
ISTANBUL
ZILDJIAN
Cymbal underneath has signature of the maker near the underside of the bell. The signature is very visible, but I can't determine the actual name.
Weight is TBA when I can get an exact weight in grams. I just ordered a scale, so as soon as I recieve it, I'll weigh it and update the listing.
This K sounds like a dream, and is a MUST-HAVE for jazz drummers, or anyone looking for the classic "K" vibe.
