VINTAGE PAISTE GIANT BEAT 18” CRASH; JOHN BONHAM CYMBAL
The Original Paiste Giant Beat line was specially engineered and crafted to cut through the heavy amplification of the other instruments in the new rock group sound of the late 1960’s. These cymbals have a dynamic carrying power with clear definition. They offered a new dimension in tonal balance for rock groups of any size.

• John Bonham (Led Zeppelin); Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Carmen Appice (Vanilla Fudge) and many others used Giant Beat Cymbals in the 60’s & 70’s
• This is a Pre-Serial numbered Cymbal. Paiste Giant Beats were first produced in 1967 and serial numbers did not make their debut until 1971. Paiste discontinued the line in 1974.

• Original Patina, not cleaned, nice look for over 40 years old
• No Cracks but has a key hole, has 2 very small nicks on the edges, otherwise very smooth edges. Slight possible beginning of a keyhole. Had 3 rivets, all removed. Still sounds brilliant!
• Rivets were a SPECIAL ORDER AND COST EXTRA. In those days all Paiste Cymbal were ordered through Ludwig. That makes this cymbal a rare, one of a kind, specially designed 18” Giant Beat Crash
