Synopsis: Somewhere in a tropical rainforest, industrialists have plans to ravage the land for profit. A local Shaman and an ancient prophesy are all that stand in the way.
On the other side of the world, Dr. Mariah Newman struggles to raise her teenage son, Christian as a single parent. A talented surgeon, Mariah has a great reputation for miracles in the operating room. Today, she has a young patient with an aneurysm. Mariah casually assures the patient's father, Joshua, that everything will be fine. It is a promise she cannot keep.
Joshua is broken by the death of his daughter. She was all he had. In a murderous fit of grief, Joshua tries to run Mariah over in the hospital parking garage. Mariah barely escapes by leaping out of the way and over a short wall. Joshua when he loses control of the car and sails off the fourth story of the parking deck. Mariah hangs onto the wall, four stories off the ground as long as she can. Ultimately, she falls.
The rainforest Shaman eludes the industrialist's mercenaries, trying to stay alive long enough for the prophesy to be fulfilled, and order to be restored.
Medical teams respond and Mariah's body fights to survive the fall. Mariah's spirit wakes in a rainforest. Attempting to make sense of it all, she is attacked by Joshua. She is rescued by a stranger named Andrew, but Joshua gets away.
Meanwhile Christian is being seduced by two new friends, Jules and Mac. Christian is drawn to Jules and that attraction baits him into a world of drugs and crime. Ultimately, he finds himself making decisions that have life or death consequences.
Andrew advises Mariah that she is the fulfillment of an ancient prophesy and destined to save both the physical and spiritual worlds. Joshua has his own destructive plans for both worlds. He needs to destroy Mariah to realize his designs. Hunted by Joshua, Mariah discovers, Christian's potential demise and now races desperately to fulfill the prophesy, thereby saving her son, herself, and both worlds.
