Amityville Christmas (Horror, Feature)

LOGLINE: After moving his family into the Amityville house on Christmas Eve to prove God's existence, a former psychologist-turned-social media star faces terrifying apparitions and his family's unraveling, risking losing them to the house's dark forces.

Synopsis/Details:
Opening Image: The Amityville house looms ominously in the snow, its Christmas lights casting eerie shadows.

First Act: Dr. Robert Hendricks, a former clinical psychologist turned controversial social media star, brings his family to the Amityville house on Christmas Eve. Obsessed with proving the existence of God for his new book, he believes documenting paranormal events will support his beliefs. His apprehensive wife, Mary, and their children—rebellious Sarah, troubled Michael, and the younger Noah and Lily—are wary of his obsession. As they settle in, the sinister presence of the house begins to manifest.

Inciting Incident: On their first night, strange occurrences take place. Michael catches a twisted reflection in an antique mirror, Sarah feels icy drafts and sees moving shadows, and the younger children are unsettled by distorted Christmas music and glowing eyes outside. Mary becomes increasingly disturbed, but Robert is blinded by his determination to capture evidence of the supernatural.

Act 2: As the house’s evil spirits take hold, Michael becomes possessed. His behavior shifts dramatically as he challenges his father’s religious views, refusing to attend church and mocking Robert’s faith. Michael’s possession deepens, and in a dark, disturbing turn, he seduces his sister Sarah, forcing her to blaspheme God. Meanwhile, Robert becomes more consumed with his quest for evidence, ignoring his family's unraveling. The house continues to manipulate the family, driving them apart while intensifying the supernatural phenomena.

Midpoint: Michael, now under the complete control of the house, grows increasingly violent and erratic. His seduction of Sarah pushes her into emotional turmoil, while Mary struggles to hold the family together. Robert, still obsessed with capturing paranormal evidence, fails to see the imminent danger. The family’s tensions rise, with each member forced to confront their deepest fears and the malevolent forces lurking within the house.

Bad Guys Close In: The house’s influence becomes overwhelming. Michael’s possession reaches its peak, and he exerts control over the family, while Sarah and Mary are haunted by guilt, fear, and desperation. Despite mounting evidence of danger, Robert stubbornly refuses to leave, convinced that proving the existence of the supernatural will vindicate his beliefs. The family’s cohesion shatters as the house pulls them further into its dark grip.

All is Lost: The family is pushed to the edge as the house prepares to claim them. Mary begs Robert to leave the house, but his obsession blinds him. Meanwhile, Michael, fully possessed, prepares to carry out the house’s evil plan.

Act 3/Climax: During a disastrous Christmas dinner, the cooked turkey comes alive and attacks Robert, but even this does not break his resolve. Mary, seeing no way to convince Robert, decides to take matters into her own hands and books a flight back to Canada. As she prepares to leave, Michael sneaks up behind Robert and strangles him to death using Christmas lights. Fully possessed by the house, Michael then kills his sister Sarah. When Pastor David arrives, he finds Michael engaging in a horrific act—having sex with Mary, who is under the house’s control. The Pastor attempts an exorcism, but Michael, now completely evil, kills him.

Resolution: The movie ends in a scene of utter destruction. The entire family has been killed, and Michael, fully turned to evil, calmly awaits the arrival of the police, having embraced the malevolent forces of the house.
