"NOT ANOTHER VAMPIRE STORY"

A fun, family-friendly coming-of-age feature with two possible characters for your male lead in search of a role.

Logline: An awkward young teen girl embarrasses herself amid the trials of girl-life when she suspects her pretty older sister's handsome boyfriend is really a vampire, and tries to prove it.

NOT ANOTHER VAMPIRE STORY is written along the lines of "Lizzie McGuire" and "Malcolm in the Middle" with a young Drew Barrymore bouncy flair (could be middle school or high school).

Sylvia is a Jpop/Kpop, manga-loving fan with the usual self-doubts of a girl her age, especially one in the limelight of her perfect older sister, Julia. Just as she begins a new school year, she meets Julia’s new boyfriend, hot guy Terry. Too good to be true, Sylvia looks closer at this handsome man and sees "vampire".

She studies Valtieri "Terry" Dakmarr, who has kept a low profile and just wants to belong to normal society. He comes from a family with a long business history of making vampire blending-in happen. Sylvia and her best friend Holly sneak around, learning things about Terry he’s kept hidden for centuries. This ends when Sylvia, alone and snooping, comes face to fang in Terry's apartment and learns the truth.

The story is told in an every-girl style, explaining away the common vampire tropes. It's bright and fun, exaggerating small town public school's worst moments that every kid tries to avoid, with the focus on acceptance rather than vampire gore. With Julia's stunning looks and perfect everything, Sylvia know she'll never be anything like her. At any age. It's a story of sisters, feeling unwanted, and acceptance.

Sylvia is relatable, with typical young teen concerns (as one iTunes/Apple Book reviewer put it, "Omg I’ve read this book like 7 times this week"). Julia loves her little sister and sees her potential. Terry has the standard vampire qualities, but wants to live beyond the classic creature of the night cliché―in the real world with real people. It ends with acceptance, and Sylvia realizing she's not as unseen as she thinks, especially to a certain teen boy.
