Callum, a tenacious detective at Scotland Yard in London, is at the pinnacle of his career. Although his family life seems idyllic, the reality is far from ordinary. After years of pursuing a serial killer, his relentless efforts finally pay off; he not only saves numerous lives but also helps his friend, the Chief of Police, in rescuing a dear friend who serves as the Secretary of State.
The police station buzzes with excitement over Callum's significant arrest, and discussions of a potential book deal begin to circulate. However, Callum's life takes an unexpected turn when a spiritual presence enters his consciousness, initiating a journey that will lead him from life to death. As time unfolds, the Buddha reveals his intentions to Callum through vivid flashes of Nepal. Captivated by this narrative, Callum finds himself immersed in a story he must unravel: reincarnation.
The Buddha emerges from a painting as a child adorned with wings. Callum witnesses this and descends into madness and isolation in his man cave, where he remains silent. Consumed by his obsession, he is committed to a sanitarium. His partner from the police force orchestrates his escape, and in a desperate final attempt, he travels to Nepal in search of the elusive Buddha Butterfly, which he discovers in a hidden underground cave. After eight years, he ultimately finds his answer through meditation.
