The clock tower STRIKES SEVEN. Its deep chime echoes through the warm, festive air. Brightly colored tents ripple in the breeze. Vendors shout, kids laugh, faces painted like tigers and butterflies. Parents sip sweet tea, children dart joyfully.
PRINCIPAL JESSIE JORDAN (40s), warm smile, shakes hands, nods at parents. Her eyes scan the crowd — sharp, calculating.
EXT. WEST POINT MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM BLEACHERS – EVENING
ELLIE SIMMONS (14), bright-eyed, sits alone sketching feverishly in her notebook. A shadow falls over her.
