Judy Garland As "Helen Lawson"

Re: Judy Garland As "Helen Lawson"

Is there suppose to be a message with this subject and also the one prior to this one? I'm not getting any message to start talking about....but will gladly give my thoughts of Garland in the Hayward role...(or visa versa, which was the actual case)

Judy could never have gone through and finished this role!

Why? Because the Patty Duke (Neeley O' Hara) was actually based on JUDY GARLAND. That bothered the (^*^$# out of her!

Word of that was out when the book was first published. You

might say..."well, then who was the Helen Lawson charatcher that Hayward played, supposed to be?" Rumor was ETHEL MERMAN!

When you go to the original address that I posted, you'll see 2 photos of Judy as "Helen Lawson" at the bottom of the page. (She really looks terrible for a woman in her 40's, especially being she's all made up. Life had really taken it's toll on Judy by then. She was gone not too long after).

Errol, just type in the url given into your address box and it will take you to the photos. They aren't very flattering ones of Judy.... (I tried copypasyting the url but couldn't get it to work from the guestbook but just typing in the url works and it will take you right to the Judy Garland Scrapbook...Ginger
