Susan was featured many times on the cover of both French leading magazines during many years while we all know that she was overlooked by the main publications during her whole carreer in her own country ( with the exception of "Look magazine " which featured her on 4 different covers !!? She was very popular in France, her stardom culminating with winning the Golden palm at the Cannes festival of 1956 for best acress...
And this time Susan 's true hair color "Light copper auburn" comes trough in all its splendor!

Phil gave us an accurate scenario on this cover from France that came out in February 1956. Like Phil stated Susan was very popular in France also in Italy. It's very unfortunate that US publishers did not see the other side of Susan, as a beautiful, loving mother, superb dramatic actress and with a big, kind heart. She would have made it on more USA magazines, and not the negative comments that we have come to know.
