Chapter 11 – Radhu : 084
We have already mentioned Radhu’s son, Vanavihari, or Vanu. At dawn the Mother would sing a Mother Kaushalya of the Ramayana did while rousing her son Price Rama from sleep:
‘It is morning, awake my child, Thou who art merciful to gods, men and sages.
Bathe now and offer the gods cattle, elephants, gold, and betel-nuts.’
Vanu had his share of love from Holy Mother. Since Radhu could hardly look after her baby, a woman disciple of the Mother was appointed as his nurse. The doctor gave notice that he would not treat him unless he was kept away from his mother. Holy Mother remarked one day: ‘She cannot even take care of herself. Why should God have given her a child?’
