This is the story of Hattie Larlham and her struggle to create a faculty for severely challenged children. From the humble origins in 1961 in her family home starting with 1 hydrocyphallic baby until today where her Foundation serves over 1800 children. It is told from the point of view of Evan Bolyard , a college senior at Kent State in 1969 assigned to the Hattie Larlham Foundation as a summer project.
