I enjoyed seeing the pictures from Woodbury Salterton, my Grandfather used to own the village garage and shop and the photo of the two ladies at the drinking fountain is my Grandmother Miriam Downs and Isobel . I lived in Toby Lane and used to help my Mum deliver the milk in Woodbury in the 1960s. If anyone remembers the Downs family my Mum Roma ( Rosemary ) would love to hear from you. The Downs family all grew up and lived in Woodbury Salerton for many years. Ken, Mary, Roma, Geofrey and Pauline. |

I am descended from the Mutter/Mutters family of Woodbury. John Mutters (1804-1862) and his son George Mutters (1825-1896) were both sexton at Woodbury Church in the Victorian era. John\'s wife Mary Marks and George\'s wife Anna Maria Havill were both lace makers. |

I am originally from Birmingham UK. I still have family there I have traced my family from Birmingham to Oxford, London, Buckinghamshire and I believe to Exminster and Woodbury in the late 1590\'s to early 1600\'s. Family names connected through marriage are Lucombe, Clapp and possibly Tucketts. Any information would be appreciated |
