researching family history

As per my father Robert Farron Pinckney, we are descendants of Phillip Pinckney of Eastchester, NY. ( Mount Vernon). I visited the St. Paul\'s church in Mt. Vernon with my parents and siblings where we have a booth with the family name on it. Also visited the grave site of Phillip Pinckney in Westchester County, NY at a graveyard on the side of hill that was relocated to build a reservoir there. Very interested in knowing how far back my family history goes. My father has documented lineage back to the 1600s. I haven\'t been able to see all of it yet, but plan on doing so.

I have a number of Pinckney ancestors from the 17 and 1800s. I\'ve seen the photo of the plaque to them in St Peter\'s Church, Charlton St Peter. A number of them (the Hearne Pinckneys) are from Wolf Hall in Burbage (very excited to see this as Wolf Hall is so well known!). Although it may not be the same one. I can\'t find anything that says they were owners so I am guessing that they were domestic servants. However it seems unusual that they would have a plaque in the church.

My maternal grandmother was Roselle Ellen Pinckney, she married James Cameron in Iowa. Just hoping to find more info about her family. I was told recently that Pinckney relatives came over on the Mayflower. I do not see that name on a list of passengers.

My tree looks as follows: I have Joseph Pinckney (b1768, married Hannah Brees) as son of Joseph Pinckney(b1737) & Mary Dorrell. Their issue was: Robert: Joseph: William; Thomas: and Daniel.
Joseph Pinckney (b1737) was son of Robert Pinckney (b1715) and Elizabeth Parkin. His parents were Robert & Margaret nee Hardwick. His father William. Would be grateful if you could help. Thank you.

Descended from the Pinkney family of Brancepeth, Durham. Hypothetical links back to the Pinckney family of Bishop Auckland but unfortunately no sources thus far. My oldest relative is Ralph (spelled various ways) Pinkney of Brancepth c 1580 m Margaret Fawdon. Would love to know more about possible links to the Bishop Auckland line
