I'm new to the breed and love your website! A lot of helpful information in one spot. My girl, Daisy, born 4/29/08 is a beautiful black tri. I plan on learning how to work with her on cattle as we have Scotch Highland beef cattle. |

I really enjoyed your very informative website and all of the postings in the guestbook. Our red tri-color Aussie (DOB 08-30-07)is named Copper for his beautiful coat. I've had dogs all my life but Copper is the BEST! He is an ambassador for the breed. I will never have any other breed again. Best of luck to all. |

I have been around Australian Shepards since I was a little girl. I have always been impressed with their "smarts" and "beauty". I now own 3 Aussies & wouldn't trade them for anything! An Aussie truly WANTS to be your best friend and will stick to you like chewing gum to the bottom of a shoe! When my husband and I first married, he wanted to get a Collie, but I pushed for an Aussie. Our first Aussie won his heart over and now he wouldn't have any other dog breed. Once an Aussie owner, Always an Aussie owner! |

Just wanted to sign-in. I have had Aussies all of my life and will continue to. Great dog that I do not want to see bread-down, let's keep them as they are. Current dog, KiKi, 5 yr old tri-collored merle. |

As I look for the newest member of our Aussie family, I find this website very informative and eye opening. Keep up the good work, I believe in the importance of preserving the aussie as it was originally intended for ourselves and future aussie lovers. |

I have two aussies brother and sister. I have bonded more with my male because I have had him longer.. since he was 8 weeks old. They are both excellent watch dogs and my male, Mickey, will only listen to me. I guess because we bonded better then my parents bonded with him. I love them both and am an aspiring vet. |

Maggie is my two-year old female Aussie I adopted from an Aussie rescue group in April, 2005 when she was eight months old. This was her third home and we both had some adjusting. Since 1980 I have lived alone with three female Labs and now with Maggie -- wonderful companions and I loved them all. Maggie is a swimmer and will swim non-stop for more than an hour in the bay near our house, then leave the water without any sign of fatigue. She is a great companion when we walk through nearby fields and wetlands and she is great with other dogs and loves children too. Every day I appreciate even more how much Maggie adds to my life. |

Hi, I have 2 aussies and love them both. I use them to work cattle on our ranch. Its too bad there isn't more emphasis put on their cattle working abilities and less on the showing end, after all, they were bred to be stock dogs. Check out my website, www.highplainsranchsupply.com , the dogs are on the Quarter Horse page. Thanks, Ryan |

Thank you for great website on our amazing Aussies! The pics are really interesting. I am fascinated at the different styles between the Aussies and the Border Collies when they're herding the livestock. I've only had my Aussie for a year. A beautiful healthy black tri female. I'm going to try and breed her when she gets to be 2 years old or so and I hope I do the Aussie breed justice. I sure will try. But until that time comes, I want to learn as much as I can about her and her ancestory. Thanks for your help. Kelly P.S.- Have any of you out there noticed that the Aussies like to lick feet or is it just my crazy dog?! |

Now I have learned a little more about Aussie history from the great articles of long time ranch operators. They have to be preserved and told to future generations so that the Aussie will remain the most versatile ranch hand. It’s also nice to see the timeline of milestone events. |
