“TWIN-OPOLY”
Screenplay for film
Brief Synopsis

Written by: Annette Colon

“Twin-opoly” is a comedy/drama about identical twin sisters, LANA and LAUREN VILLANOVA who resides in South Orange, New Jersey. While they may indeed look alike, they are totally different in every aspect. Lana is a vain, outspoken, outgoing person. She is a Marketing Executive/Buyer at a high-end Department Store. LAUREN is a very shy, passive aggressive low key person. She is a Political Advisor for the arrogant, conniving and self-centered South Orange, Mayor, Enrique Cruz.

In order to get the inside track on Enrique’s campaign, LANA and LAUREN switch places at work. During a Budget Meeting, LANA finds out that ENRIQUE has diverted funds that were allocated for the Urban schools and Special Programs to the Suburban schools in exchange for campaign endorsements and she resigns. When NANA finds out that LAUREN is the political genius behind her boss’s political career, she strongly suggests to her to enter the upcoming South Orange Mayor’s race.

During the Neighborhood Beautification Project, ENRIQUE presents LANA with an offer that she simply cannot refuse. If she does not adhere to his request, he will publicly expose LANA and LAUREN’s fraudulent plans for the mayor’s race. When Billionaire RICARDO QUESADA’s third wife leaves him for an Alcoholic Anonymous Counselor, he files for a divorce, reuniting with his true love from years’ past. An unlikely suspect is arrested for the break in and destruction of property at City Hall. In light of the information that was disclosed in the mayor’s race, the NJ Board of Elections has decided to have a re-election adding two crucial questions to the ballot.

“Twin-Opoly” is a story of family, love, trust and friendship.
